Phillips 35th Anniversary GalaA Passion for Compassion
On Saturday October 14, more than 200 friends, community members, faculty and staff were joined by Laila Ali, Sanaa Lathan and Jovana Lara to celebrate the work of CalFam and the contributions of five individuals to the Institute. Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, actress Michele Lee, former Board Chair Emerita Gloria Mahdesian, Ph.D., faculty member Kathy Wexler, and Alumna and Board of Trustees Member Margarette Lathan were each honored for distinguished contributions to PGI/CalFam during a night of celebration that featured fellowship and warmth, as well as plenty of music and dancing. We are grateful to the many members of our community who made this event a success through their important contributions of time, work and financial gifts.
