Frank Baird, M.A.
Frank Baird, LMFT is Team Leader for the Adolescent Treatment Program and Couples Treatment Service at Kaiser, Sherman Terrace in Encino, CA. He teaches postmodern and family therapies at Phillips Graduate Institute and Marriage & Family Therapy classes at California State University, Northridge. He is Clinical Supervisor in the Postmodern Therapies Internship at California Family Counseling Center. He is founder of Walk a Mile in Her Shoes: The Men’s March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence, (www.walkamileinhershoes.org) an international march where men literally walk one mile in women’s high-heeled shoes to educate their communities about the importance of ending sexual violence.

Caren Caty, Ph.D.
Dr. Caty graduated from CSPP in Los Angeles with a specialty in Multicultural community Clinical Psychology. She is CEO of Advanced Psychological Solutions, Inc. specializing in school-based mental health: Program Development, Child/Adolescent Interventions, Training and Supervising.

Dr. Caty has presented her research on School-Based Mental Health Interventions and Adolescents’ Exposure to Violence at several APA conferences, as well as participated in interviews on these topics for TV, radio, and print media. Dr. Caty’s research has been published in peer reviewed scholarly journals. Dr. Caty has received several awards for her work with underserved children and adolescents including the Emory L. Cowen Award for the Promotion of Wellness from APA Division 27: Society for Community Research and Action.

Dr. Caty is an adjunct Faculty at Phillips Graduate Institute instructing Group Dynamics, Professional Writing, Writing for Publication and School-Based Mental Health Issues & Interventions with Children. Master Thesis Mentor and Co-editor of PGI journal Progress.

Bunni Dybnis, M.A.
Bunni Dybnis joined LivHOME, an integrated care management /in-home care company, in 1999 as the Director of Professional Services. She is a nationally recognized speaker on eldercare issues, bringing more than 25 years of experience as a licensed marriage/family therapist and certified care manager to her position. Bunni has worked with the chronically and terminally ill, disabled and geriatric populations. Previously, Bunni was program director of both fee-for-service and government-funded care management programs at a large non-profit agency.

Bunni is active in a broad range of local and national organizations which are concerned with the aging population. She sits on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (NAPGCM) where she is a Fellow in the Leadership Academy. She is the immediate past president of the Western Chapter NAPGCM, co-chair of Team of Older Person Services (TOPS) and on the Board of Trustees of the Center for Health Aging. She represents LivHOME on the Fiduciary Abuse Service Team (FAST) of L.A. County, the Professional Training Committee and is Chair of the Caregiver Support Advisory Board of the Alzheimer’s Association of Los Angeles. Bunni is also an active member the advisory board L.I.F.E. Coalition of Jewish Family Services and The Health and Aging Leadership Academy of the American Society of Aging.

The Women’s Business Network of the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce recognized her as an Exceptional Woman in Eldercare, and she received the Rose Kleiner Award for Excellence in Care Management from the Western Region of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.

Kendall Evans, M.A.
Kendall Evans has specialized in working with perpetrators and survivors of relationship abuse and violence since 1987 when he co-founded Another Way - Stopping Violence and Abuse Counseling Center. He also provids general psychotherapy as well as supervises interns at Open Paths Counseling Center. He has been presenting workshops for therapists on domestic violence dynamics and treatment at several agencies as well as PGI and Antioch for several years. He is an active member of the Association for Batterer's Intervention Programs working as Training Committee Chair and co-author of a batterer's treatment brochure. Ken has authored two book chapters and a Journal article on domestic violence and related topics.

Mary Nichols, M.S.
Mary Nichols is a program administrator at the LA County Inter-agency Council on Child Abuse and Neglect (ICAN) which coordinates various county and state agencies and commissions on the development of services for the prevention, identification and treatment of child abuse and neglect in the LA area.

At ICAN Mary coordinates LA County multidisciplinary work groups on: forensic medical exams for child sexual abuse; system response to domestic violence, infants prenatally exposed to substances, and the identification and investigation of non-fatal severe injuries to children. She is also a member of the Los Angeles County Child Death Review and Domestic Violence Death Review teams.

Previous to her work at ICAN Mary worked many years for the LA County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) as a social worker and supervisor in emergency investigations and intensive services. She was assigned to the Multidisciplinary Investigation Team at the UCLA Santa Monica Hospital Rape Treatment Center (Stuart House). She also served as the DCFS liaison to the domestic violence community and served on the steering committee for the Westside Domestic Violence Network. Mary is also a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in West Los Angeles.
